1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Status Glide website and, when available to you, the Status Glide iPhone app. They are provided by Mehmet Emin Kartal (“we”, “us”). By using Status Glide, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
You must have the legal capacity and any permissions needed to use the service. If you use it for an organization, you must be authorized to connect its accounts and configure the relevant statuses.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Status Glide is currently in development and is not yet available on the App Store. The website does not offer an app download, subscription, or checkout. Any future purchase or subscription terms will be presented separately before you commit to them.
2. What Status Glide does
Status Glide lets you map selected iPhone Focus workflows to profile statuses in Slack accounts that you authorize. You choose status text, emoji, duration, and which accounts participate. Supported Focus modes connect through iOS Focus Filters; Driving and CarPlay scenarios use Shortcuts automations.
When enabled, the app can restore a previous Slack status after a Focus ends. It is designed to preserve a status you manually change in Slack. The app also supports pending actions and limited retries for temporary network failures.
The website’s scenarios, account names, and interface concepts are illustrative. They do not connect to a real Slack workspace or promise an identical final interface.
3. Your accounts and responsibilities
- Connect only Slack accounts that you are entitled to use, and obtain any required workspace administrator approval.
- Review your mappings, status messages, expiration times, Focus Filters, and Shortcuts before relying on them.
- Keep your device and connected accounts secure. You are responsible for the status content and settings you choose.
- Follow applicable law, workplace policies, and the terms of Slack, Apple, and other services you use.
- Do not use Status Glide to access another person’s account without permission, bypass access controls, interfere with a service, or transmit unlawful or abusive content.
Slack statuses may be visible to other people in your workspace or to connected services. Avoid putting confidential or sensitive information in a status unless you intend to share it with that audience.
4. License and ownership
Subject to these terms and any applicable distribution terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose on devices you are authorized to use.
We retain rights in Status Glide, its original code, design, and branding. You retain any rights in the content you provide. We claim no ownership of your Slack status text or other user content.
You must not resell, redistribute, or copy the app or its original assets except as permitted by us or applicable law. Restrictions do not override any rights that the law gives you, including applicable rights relating to interoperability.
Slack, Apple, iPhone, and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. Status Glide is independent and is not created by, affiliated with, or supported by Slack. Use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
5. Availability and limitations
The app requires a compatible iPhone running iOS 18 or later, the relevant permissions, and authorized Slack access. Synchronization also depends on network access, iOS background execution, your automation configuration, Slack’s availability, rate limits, and workspace policies.
Status updates may be delayed or fail. A Focus ending does not guarantee that another person has seen an updated status. Status Glide is not a safety, emergency, attendance, or guaranteed availability system. Do not rely on it for safety-critical decisions or treat a Slack status as proof that someone is available.
We may update or change features, or discontinue the app or website. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, a particular synchronization time, or compatibility with every future version of iOS or Slack. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Status Glide is provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance. This does not exclude statutory guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Stopping use
You may stop using Status Glide at any time. Disable synchronization, remove its Focus Filters and Shortcuts automations, and disconnect your Slack accounts in the app. Disconnecting an account removes its locally stored account credentials, per-account mappings, and synchronization state, but leaves its current Slack status as it is.
To revoke Slack authorization, remove Status Glide in Slack’s app settings as well. Deleting the app alone should not be treated as revoking Slack access.
We may restrict access to services we control if reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, abuse, security risks, or a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law. Terms that by their nature need to continue, including ownership and liability provisions, continue after use ends.
7. Liability and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost business opportunities arising from use of Status Glide, including delayed or unsuccessful status updates or failures of third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where that would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or injury, or any mandatory consumer rights. Any limitation applies only to the extent the law allows.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not require you to give up a right to bring a claim, use a mandatory arbitration process, or waive protections provided by applicable consumer law.
8. Changes and contact
We may revise these terms as the app and website develop. The effective date identifies the version on this page. We will give notice of material changes where required by law; if you do not agree with revised terms, you may stop using Status Glide.
