1. Who we are
Status Glide is an independent iPhone app and website operated by Mehmet Emin Kartal (“we”, “us”). This policy explains our handling of personal information in the Status Glide app and at statusglide.com. For privacy questions, contact info@mehmeteminkartal.com.tr.
The app is currently in development and is not yet available on the App Store. This policy describes its current design and the website that is available today.
2. Data the app handles
If you choose to connect a Slack account, the app handles:
- Account information: Slack user and workspace identifiers, your Slack username, and workspace name, so you can recognize and manage connected accounts.
- Authorization credentials: OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens when provided, and expiration information. Sign-in takes place through Slack; we do not receive your Slack password.
- Profile status: your current status text, emoji, and expiration, and the previous and last-applied statuses needed to update or restore your status.
- Your settings: mapping names, selected symbols, per-account status text, emoji, duration, enabled settings, and restore preferences.
- Local synchronization state: selected mapping identifiers, whether a request came from a Focus Filter, Shortcut, or manual action, pending requests, timestamps, and success or error information.
Status Glide requests Slack’s users.profile:read and users.profile:write permissions to read and update your profile status. The current app does not request access to conversations or files, and does not read your Slack messages.
iOS does not provide Status Glide with a complete list of your Focus names. You choose the mappings and connect supported Focus modes through Focus Filters. Driving and CarPlay workflows use Shortcuts automations.
3. Why this data is used
The app uses this information to connect the Slack accounts you select, apply your configured statuses, restore a previous status when enabled, respect manual status changes, and handle pending actions or temporary connection failures. Account identifiers keep each account’s settings and credentials separate.
Profile updates and authorization requests travel directly between your device and Slack over HTTPS. We do not operate an application server that receives your Slack credentials, status mappings, or synchronization history.
We do not sell personal information, use Slack data for advertising, or use it to train AI models. The current app does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information needed to provide the features you request, respond to your inquiries, and protect and maintain the website. Optional processing will rely on consent where required. Your Slack authorization and iOS permissions can be withdrawn through their respective settings.
4. Where data is stored and how long it stays
OAuth credentials are stored in your iPhone’s Keychain with device-only accessibility settings. Account details, mappings, preferences, and synchronization state are stored locally using SwiftData in the app’s protected shared container. The app does not use CloudKit to sync these records to our servers.
Local information remains until it is removed or replaced through the app, or otherwise deleted from the device. Previous and last-applied statuses and synchronization information may remain until a later operation replaces them or the account is disconnected.
Disconnecting an account removes its stored credentials, account entry, per-account mappings, and synchronization state from the app. It leaves the current Slack status unchanged. To revoke authorization at Slack as well, remove Status Glide from Slack’s app settings. Removing the app is not a substitute for revoking Slack access; device backups and Keychain behavior are controlled by Apple.
Because app records stay on your device, we do not have a server-side copy to inspect or delete on your behalf. Slack independently retains information sent to its service under its own policies and your workspace’s settings.
5. Website visits, providers, and support
This website is a collection of static pages hosted through Cloudflare Pages. The website does not ask you to sign in, connect Slack, or submit a registration form. Its interactive examples run in your browser and do not send demo selections to Slack or to an application backend.
Cloudflare processes ordinary network and request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, and browser or device information, to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare may also use security-related cookies or similar mechanisms when necessary. We do not set advertising cookies or add an analytics tracker. Fonts and other site assets are served from this website.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to send. We use it to respond and handle the request, retaining correspondence as needed for that purpose and any applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, access tokens, or sensitive workspace content.
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Slack and Apple process data under their own terms; their policies also govern data you provide directly to them. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy, Slack’s Privacy Policy, and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete mappings, disable synchronization, disable individual accounts for a mapping, change restoration preferences, and disconnect accounts. You can also remove a Focus Filter or disable its Shortcuts automation in iOS, and revoke the app’s access in Slack.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, request portability, or withdraw consent. To make a request about information we hold, email info@mehmeteminkartal.com.tr. We may need to verify your identity and will respond in accordance with applicable law. Information held only by Slack, Apple, or on your device may require action with the relevant service or on the device itself.
You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable law.
Children
Status Glide is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, website, or applicable requirements change. The current version and its effective date will appear on this page. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
